I applied for a Veterans home loan with Veterans United and got approved. We are in drastic need of down-sizing as we get older and family has left the nest yet again leaving us with a house which is way to big for our needs and waisted space . The cost to stay here is not sustainable for the future as we are in the retirement process and income variations, etc.
We found this nice mobile in an adult community down here that we both love and provides us with all the things we require and need at a price we couldn't refuse. So we placed an offer, went back and forth a bit, and seller settled with us and we are now under contract awaiting the financial paperwork, inspection approval. etc. So with any luck at all we will be closing on this property on or around the end of November. It in Palm Bay, Florida about 35 minutes south of Cocoa were we live now. It puts Deb closer to work and only about 20 minutes to Brandon's house in Rockledge, making it still easy and manageable to visit the grandkids, etc. Best part for us, we will own the land, house, etc. No lot rents to deal with. and gives us the ability to have it all paid off within our 6-8 year plan making it easier should something happen to one of us that is our goal..looking to the future.
