Time
There is no pressure for us to deal, Almost scary, but yet so real..
Within this calm, this moment of time, One can form words or rhyme..
Seconds go by, ticking away, Priceless moments, of each day.
Time to reflect, reflect I say, As we close, yet another day.
On the wall, hangs a clock, It tries to tell us time.
Immersed in word, even rhyme, we're to busy, to notice time..
Fleeting thoughts, come and go, The fire burns, and leaves a glow.
I will return again to this space, for time here, has no place.

Key Insights
⏳ The Duality of Pressure and Calm: The opening lines reveal a paradox where the absence of pressure is described as “Almost scary, but yet so real.” This highlights how intense moments of calm can feel unfamiliar and unsettling, especially in a fast-paced world. It suggests that many people are unused to, or uncomfortable with, stillness amid daily demands.
π°️ Time as Both Measured and Elusive: The motif of the clock on the wall serves as a symbol for time’s omnipresence, yet the speaker admits being too absorbed in thought or creativity to notice it. This juxtaposition reflects common human experience — time is constantly passing, yet at moments of deep engagement or mindfulness, it feels suspended or irrelevant.
π Fleeting Nature of Thoughts Mirrors Time: The text describes thoughts as fleeting, coming and going quickly like the seconds ticking away. This metaphor bridges mental activity and the passage of time, emphasizing how moments of insight or inspiration are transient and must be seized or cherished. It also subtly underlines the ephemeral quality of human experience.
π₯ Symbolism of Fire: The burning fire and its glow serve as a metaphor for the lingering impact of moments lived or creative energy. Fire’s warmth and light symbolize vitality and the residual effect of reflection or artistic expression. This imagery evokes a sense of comfort amid the passage of time, suggesting some experiences leave lasting impressions.
π Role of Creativity in Time Perception: The act of forming words and rhyme during this pause in time suggests that creativity functions as a means to capture or transcend time. Poetry, in particular, can crystallize ephemeral moments into lasting works, providing a way to make sense of and preserve experiences that might otherwise be lost to the flow of time.
π Cyclical Nature of Days and Reflection: The recurring mention of “closing another day” implies an ongoing cycle of time and reflection. It points to the importance of regularly taking moments to pause and absorb one’s experiences, suggesting that reflection is not a one-time event but a continuous practice necessary for mindful living.
π A Timeless Space for Self-Return: The closing line, “I will return again to this space, for time here, has no place,” encapsulates the desire for an inner sanctuary where one is free from time’s demands. This timeless space symbolizes mental or emotional refuge, a place where the speaker can reconnect with self away from external pressures, highlighting the human need for such retreats in life.
This text ultimately underscores the relationship between time, thought, and creative engagement, advocating for the deliberate cultivation of moments where time’s pressure dissolves, allowing for deeper reflection and peace.
